Personal power can manifest in various forms, such as self-confidence, assertiveness, resilience, and the ability to inspire and motivate others. 

Your beliefs play a significant role in determining your sense of personal power.

Changing or challenging your beliefs is crucial for personal growth and increasing your personal power.

Finding or creating an environment that celebrates diversity can be highly beneficial for individuals with ADHD.

Certain environments or workplace setups will help you focus better.

Ask about flexible work hours, such as allowing you to start and finish your workday at different times that accommodate your energy levels and help maximize your productivity.

Keep working on finding the support and systems to help you thrive.

Information Overload

Your ADHD brain is constantly battered with information. 

This can present several challenges, such as struggling with maintaining focus and paying attention for extended periods of time.

It affects your ability to complete tasks and stay organized.

Too much information makes it tougher to retain instructions, remember information, or recall details accurately.


This puts extra pressure on our limited working memory or short-term memory.

Solutions

•    The first step to sanity is FILTERING
•    Will this information help or hinder my progress? 
•    Filter the information and extract for knowledge.
•    Practise portion control – limit exposure.
•    Detox, create your daily quiet time ritual by tuning out.

Awareness

Awareness allows us to question the validity of our beliefs and challenge the negative stories that often hold us back. 

This process of self-reflection and self-awareness empowers you to rewrite your own stories and adopt more positive and empowering self-talk.

When you cultivate a sense of awareness, you become attuned to your thoughts, emotions, and actions. This heightened consciousness allows you to recognize patterns, identify limiting beliefs, and respond to life’s challenges with greater clarity and intention.

Awareness without judgment is a learned skill. Daily practice is a great start.
