Personal Power
Personal power is a remarkable gift that enables you to shape your own destiny.
Personal power comes from having self-awareness, and self-discipline.
You lead by example, using your communication skills and emotional intelligence to empathize and empower others.
This week’s ADHD Advantage

Your ADHD Lateral Thinking
Lateral thinking is a problem-solving approach that involves thinking creatively and looking at a problem from different angles.
You naturally break away from traditional or linear thinking patterns.
Instead of following logical or sequential steps, you explore unconventional solutions, make unexpected connections, consider different perspectives, and challenge assumptions.
It can lead to innovative and unorthodox solutions to problems.
This week’s ADHD Challenge

Finishing What You Start
Unfinished books, courses, empty journals, unused gym membership, unfulfilled personal goals, half-finished blogs, incomplete pet projects, zero savings, and still working in an uninspiring position or career.
Your goal or dream has grown into a complex monster. You start to question everything. Is it worth the effort? Is it really that important to you? Do you have the ability to complete this project successfully?
This is where most people will quit and head off on another fantasy island holiday. Your ADHD brain goes looking for the next bright, shiny object, thinking it will be the RIGHT one; it will be easier and faster.
“You can have results or excuses. Not both.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger
Solutions
- Ask if your WHY is strong enough to carry you through the jungle of fears and doubts.
- Only fully commit to something after you have mentally taken a walk through the jungle of reality and have a better understanding of the challenges that might appear.
- Accept there might be some discomfort and difficult obstacles to help you grow and learn.
- Learn to appreciate the personal growth, the grind, and the process, knowing you are in front of billions who continually give up on their goals and dreams because it wasn’t easy.
- You can get through the jungle of reality by using the most powerful weapon in the Universe – your mind.
- Start small and build your confidence and self-trust.
- Know and accept the price you will have to pay to reach your goal.
- Enjoy the journey!
Weekly Tip
Use a Check List
Use a checklist to make you more effective, efficient and focused.
Pilots use checklists for each phase of flight, takeoffs and landings. You want your pilots to have a checklist.
They do not rely on their memory for important tasks, because forgetting even one thing, can have disastrous consequences.
Another secret for pilots when they run through their checklist, they are in a sterile environment, which means no distractions.
A checklist helps you create an environment where the sole focus is on the task at hand, removing non-essential duties or idle talk.
Having clearly defined times set aside for essential activities and tasks limits distractions and sets you up for success.
“The checklist is one of the most high-powered productivity tools ever discovered”. – Brian Tracy
